Chapter 10 Summary

Gulliver found Luggnaggians as polite and generous people. He was told by one of his acquaintance there about the Struldbrugs-the immortals. He felt elated and excited to know about them and felt further joy to learn that they were not peculiar to any family but a matter of chance. Soon he learned that his views regarding the life of Struldbrugs were far from reality. He was told that though they didn’t die but they couldn’t avoid the infirmities of life. With the passage of time they lost their health, memory, hair, teeth and were in no condition to enjoy the joy of life. Gulliver felt sorry for them and

is grateful that he is not in that state.
